DESCRIPTION

The heroes of the Calydonian boar hunt battle the giant beast. All of the figures on the vase are named and include Melanion and Atalanta, Peleus and Meleager, Castor and Polydeuces (the Dioscuri twins), Acastus and the fallen Ancaeus.
