Detail of Poseidon and Amphitrite from a painting depicting the Argonauts' encounter with the bronze giant Talos. The god is crowned with a wreath (of parsley?) and holds a trident in his hand. Amphitrite wears a tiara-crown and holds a striped royal sceptre.
