Friend of Heroes (heros, philos)

HEROPHILE was a sea-nymph daughter of Poseidon and Aphrodite and sister of the sea-goddess Rhode.

She was perhaps the same as the Delphic Sibyl Herophile who is otherwise described as a daughter of Zeus and Lamia.
